Language.
The language used in the NME magazine is very informal because the target audience is teenagers.

The main subject of the cover of the magazine is looking directly at the audience to creat a sense of intweraction but he is looking at them in a fierce manor which follows his bands genre of music.

Connatation & Denotation.

The fact that primal scream is written in red indicates that the band may be romantic/passionate or violent/brutal.

The fact that the magazine has a massive FREE written on attratcs the audience because freebies are always appreciated. The fact it has "Last 200 tickets" creates a feeling of rush and excitement about a gig coming up soon.

The text "Priaml Scream" follows the main picture on the magaizne this shows that the male is linked heavily to the band crteating a familiarity to the audience.

Masthead.

The name of the magazine doesnt stand out massively but it doenst need to because the magazine is a specialist magazine which would only be read by people listening to that genre of music and the music would only be listrened to if they read the magazine so the music and magazine come hand in hand.

Buzz Words.

The words that stand out to the audince are the word F*** because teenagers like the rebeliousness of the magazine and they feel involved if they read a magazine that use the same everyday language that they use themselves.
